Clio Software's Pricing
New Service and Support prices effective January 1, 2007
The prices for our software packages depend on the total number of ILL transactions that your institution conducts each year. This arrangement is intended to give smaller institutions a price break and also reflects the amount of technical support needed by different sizes of libraries. Our products are grouped into two packages: Clio and ClioAdvanced. Clio includes the basic staff-use applications for managing an ILL office. ClioAdvanced adds to those applications a patron Web interface called ClioWeb which allows patrons to check on the status of their requests, place new requests, and pick up PDF versions of documents received via the Ariel system.
We suggest that all new customers start with the Clio package first, and upgrade to ClioAdvanced after at least a few months of experience with Clio. However, the ClioAdvanced upgrade may be purchased at the same time as Clio if desired. Please contact us for more specific information on this topic.
Clio prices consist of an initial purchase price, which includes delivery of our software and your first year of service and technical support. After your first year, an annual service and support fee will be charged. This fee entitles you to any and all updates made to our software during the year and unlimited technical support via phone or email. We take pride in providing the best possible service and support for our customers, and these annual fees make this possible.
Clio purchases are site licenses, allowing you to install our software on as many computers as you like. ClioAdvanced prices include one ClioWeb website that will reside on one Web server and talk to one Clio database. A reasonable amount of customization of your website is included, such as integrating appearance features like style sheets into your ClioWeb pages, and a simple login process using your Clio database, an LDAP server, or Microsoft Active Directory server. Prices for more elaborate customizations (multiple databases, unusual authentication data sources, etc.) will be quoted upon request.

ClioAdvanced
The ClioAdvanced upgrade fee for all customers is $2,500. Annual service and support fees for ClioAdvanced customers are also slightly higher, as shown below (this includes service and support for all Clio components, so is the only annual fee you would pay).
