Clio Software's Products

We offer simple, easy to manage, low-stress ILL solutions. By 'low stress', we mean low stress on your ILL and IT staff, your infrastructure, and your budget! We don't believe in throwing the maximum possible solution in terms of complexity, expense and size at every problem. We use appropriate, reliable and easy-to-manage technologies to provide the most cost-effective solution to any library's ILL management needs.

We offer two ILL management system packages: Clio and ClioAdvanced. The Clio package encompasses tools that your staff will use to manage your ILL operations. Complete Borrowing and Lending operations can be managed, including billing, statistics and reports, automatic handling of patron-initiated requests, patron notices, and communications with OCLC, Docline, other libraries, and your own OPAC system. ClioAdvanced includes everything Clio does while adding on a complete patron interface. ClioAdvanced includes ClioWeb, a complete patron-interaction website for your Clio-ILL operation. Your ClioWeb site can be seamlessly blended in to your existing website, and may even be able to be nested inside your existing website's patron authentication system. Patrons can place new ILL requests, see the status of existing requests, request renewals, and pick up documents in PDF format that were delivered via the Ariel system. ClioAdvanced includes tools for interacting with Ariel and maintaining a replica of your Clio database for your website to access. Most importantly, ClioAdvanced includes lots of one-on-one time with our Web Developer, Richard, to help get your site going and customized. Site visits can also be arranged.

As with any software purchase, it is not so much a product that you are buying, but a continuing service. Any kind of software, especially software that interacts with as many different systems as ours does, needs to be kept up to date and its users need help to make it work properly and get the most out of it. We recognize that entrusting your data to Clio Software systems is a significant investment. Accordingly, we have recently taken steps to guarantee that our users expectations for software Service and Support will be met, and perhaps exceeded, now and into the future.
